Ashe Converting Equipment will show wide web and narrow web finishing systems at Loupe Americas 2026 in Rosemont in September, including the widest slitter it has ever exhibited at a Loupe/Labelexpo show.
On display will be Ashe’s 65in (1.65m) Diamond duplex slitter. The slitter uses differential rewinding techniques that the company has been developing for 35 years in order to allow the winding of a wide range of substrates. The fully servo-driven machine is targeted at labelstock manufacturers, flexible packaging converters and narrow web label printers who want the flexibility to slit rolls in-house to their exact specifications, which Ashe views as an increasing trend.
‘Our decision to exhibit the Diamond slitter is a direct result of Labelexpo’s rebrand to Loupe,’ said Simon Godbold, Ashe’s sales director for narrow to mid web equipment. ‘Our equipment range covers narrow, mid and wide web, so whatever you print, you will find something relevant at our stand.
‘The Diamond slitter is perfectly suited to wider web converters but also to label printers who are looking to diversify their production into, for example, flexible packaging. It can slit almost any substrate at widths from 16in (400mm) up to 65in (1.65m), allowing exceptional flexibility. We also see many larger label converters increasingly looking to slit rolls in-house, enabling them to reduce costs and create exactly the width of roll they need for their printing processes.’
Ashe will also exhibit the Opal glueless turret slitter rewinder from its flagship narrow web equipment range. The 4-spindle system features Ashe’s Autoset technology for quick, automated set-up. It can run in-line with existing processes or be a separate off-line, secondary operation.
‘We look forward to exhibiting at Loupe Americas 2026 in our biggest market, the US, which we serve from our subsidiary in Vermont,’ said Godbold.
