Ritrama launches 50μ polyolefin film

Italy-based material manufacturer Ritrama has launched Globalflex, a bi-oriented 50μ clear coex polyolefin film on a glassine liner.

The new material is aimed at contoured or squeezable containers and is particularly suited to home and personal care products. A PET liner version, Globalflex Crystal, is also available.

‘Whilst traditional PE 85µ films may still be the initial choice for many brand owners, the advantages in terms of productivity and performance of Globalflex are significant,’ said the company.

The thinner 50μ film allows more labels per roll, is Reach-compliant, and is said to be recyclable with PP/PE containers.
