UV Ray unveils curing system with digital electronic power supply

UV Ray has launched its i-Power D curing system, containing a digital electronic power supply controlled by a microprocessor, which the company says is unique in the market.

The power supply is half the size of the previous model, the i-Power. The system is compact since it does not have a cooling unit.

The digital technology allows instantaneous start-up and adjustable power, allowing for a wide range of configurations. The lamp synchronizes with machine phases: on when printing, off when it is stopped. There is therefore no heat on the support when the machine is stopped and no pencil effect; the operator therefore is not responsible for corrections and adjustments.

The company says that the system provides cost and energy savings compared to a LED system. Thanks to minimum dissipated power it does not need a cooling unit, unlike LED systems. No adjustment of the electric system is needed. With the lamp much closer to the support and a greater power supply output, 30-40 percent more compared to current systems, says the company, drying is improved and the power used is reduced.

i-Power D uses a traditional mercury lamp and can be combined with ozone-less or doped lamps according to need.

The system works with all voltages and frequencies – single or three-phase – without any adjustment, meaning there is no need to expand the electric system.
