Unilux appoints Marcel Hage as chairman
Unilux, a designer and manufacturer of strobe lights for surface inspection in the metals, printing/converting and papermaking industries, has named Marcel Hage as chairman of the company’s board.

Hage, who joined the Unilux board in 2013, is chairman of XOL Automation, a diversified engineering company serving industrial/manufacturing companies in the Middle East and North Africa. Before joining XOL Automation, Hage was president and chief operating officer of Maxcess International, the parent company of Fife, Tidland and Magpowr.
‘Marcel has had a significant impact on Unilux since he joined the board in 2013, bringing an ideal blend of strategic and industry experience to the team,’ said Mike Simonis, Unilux president. ‘His increased involvement will be an asset to our employees as we work to fully leverage our global distribution network and significant research and development investments to better serve customers. We’re thrilled to have him leading our board.’
Hage added: ‘I’ve enjoyed working with Mike and the rest of the board for the last few years, and I am honored to be named chairman. Unilux is a pioneering brand, as evidenced by its first products that changed cinematography to the latest generation of LED Strobes that helped the manufacturing industry reduce waste and improve productivity. I am very proud to be a part of the next chapter for this company.’
Unilux recently introduced the LED-3 strobe light.
