Reprotronics invests in Esko CDI Crystal 4260 XPS
Dubai-based prepress specialist underscores commitment to precision and growth in the Middle East flexo market.

Reprotronics, a leading Dubai-based prepress and visual graphics provider, has invested in a fully automated Esko CDI Crystal 4260 XPS flexo platemaking line to enhance its capabilities in delivering quality and consistency to customers across the EMEA region and Europe.
Part of the UAE-based Thomsun Group, Reprotronics has built its reputation as a reliable and skilled partner in graphic arts and BTL marketing (below-the-line) since 1993. Its new installation, CDI Crystal 4260 XPS from Esko, is a strategic move to meet increasing demand for high-quality flexographic plates. This demand is seen in the robust growth of the flexographic printing market in the Middle East and Africa, projected to grow at a CAGR of 5.2 percent from 2025 to 2030, reaching 1,027.7 million USD by 2030, according to Grand View Research.
'With the Esko CDI Crystal 4260 XPS, we have significantly boosted our ability to produce superior plates with repeatability and stability,' said Anand Mistry, production manager at Reprotronics. 'The combination of Esko Crystal Screening and the consistent exposure delivered by the XPS unit ensures optimum plate quality and improved on-press performance.
'The automation has been a true game changer for us. It has eliminated human error and reduced manual steps, but perhaps the most valuable thing this technology gives us is confidence. When we send a plate out the door, we know it will perform flawlessly on press. That peace of mind is priceless - it means we can focus on pushing creative boundaries and supporting our customers without worrying about technical setbacks.'
The CDI Crystal 4260 XPS integrates plate imaging and exposure into a single seamless workflow, significantly reducing complexity and operator time. By consolidating these steps and utilizing advanced UV LED exposure technology, Reprotronics can now achieve higher consistency in plate production, translating to sharper print results and reduced waste.
Eddy Fadel, general manager and vice president, digital flexo solutions at Esko, added: 'Reprotronics is on a mission to deliver high-quality flexographic plates to the Middle East market, and we’re proud to be part of that journey. The CDI Crystal XPS ecosystem is designed to make quality and efficiency feel effortless, supporting businesses in meeting the highest standards of accuracy and performance. This investment not only strengthens Reprotronics' market leadership but also perfectly underlines the growing demand for premium flexo technology in the region.'
Reprotronics' decision to enhance its platemaking capacity aligns with its mission to be a reliable partner to its clients, combining expertise, technology and passion to deliver consistently superior products and services.
