Appvion schedules thermal school session

The April program focuses on direct thermal technology and coating innovation.

Appvion has announced its next Thermal School session will take place on April 22, 2026, at its Appleton, Wisconsin headquarters, with additional sessions planned throughout the year.

The immersive program targets customers, converters and industry partners seeking a deeper understanding of direct thermal technology and real-world applications. The curriculum covers the fundamentals of direct thermal technology, coating innovation and development, and market channels and end-use applications.

Each session combines classroom instruction, hands-on learning and direct engagement with Appvion's technical, product and market experts. Attendees receive guided tours of Appvion's production facility to view thermal coating processes and material innovation firsthand.

'The program provides participants an inside look at the science, engineering and market drivers shaping direct thermal materials,' said the company in a statement.

Thermal School aims to help participants strengthen technical expertise, explore new application opportunities and gain insights into coating development. The program focuses on the science behind product performance and best-in-class coating approaches.
