Kurz achieves silver EcoVadis status

The film specialist ranks in the top 15 percent globally for sustainability performance.

Leonhard Kurz has achieved silver status in the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating 2025, placing it among the top 15 percent of companies rated worldwide and in the top 6 percent within its industry.

The film technology and surface finishing specialist improved its scores across all assessed categories compared to the previous year.

EcoVadis evaluates companies on environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement based on international sustainability standards.

The rating recognizes organizations that implement sustainability commitments systematically and transparently through independent expert assessment. Evaluation criteria include resource-efficient raw material use, energy consumption, CO2 emissions and employee treatment, measured against seven management indicators, including certifications and implemented measures.

Kurz operates under the 'Be a green leader' motto with a target of complete CO2 neutrality by 2040. The company showed particular progress in ethics and labor and human rights categories, with environmental measures receiving strong ratings for supporting sustainability guidelines and certifications.

'The result shows that our continuous commitment in all areas of the company is paying off and motivates us to continue along this path with determination.'

EcoVadis provides sustainability ratings in global supply chains using international standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative and the UN Global Compact, offering companies support in developing responsible business practices.
