Morsef Machines was established in 2011 to provide label and packaging equipment from China to the Indian market. For the last two years, Morsef Machines has been selling equipment from WanJie Printing Machinery and Liaoning Tianyi Machinery on commission. Its confirmation as an official distributor was announced at Labelexpo Asia in December 2013

Humayun Ahmed and Himanshu Bhatt, partners of Morsef Machines, said, ‘We are now the authorized distributors in India for the entire range of products from both the companies. We will also be visiting Guangzhou in end of February to finalize a deal in pipeline.’

Ahmed added: ‘We have sold two slitter rewinders from Wan Jie Printing Machinery and five to six machines from Liaoning Tianyi Machinery in India – two of which are installed in Mumbai and four capsule filling machines are running in Nagpur at Zim Laboratory.’

An intermittent offset label and packaging printing machine, WJPS660, and a six-color flexographic press, WJRB320, from Wan Jie Printing Machinery are expected to be sold in the current fiscal year.

Morsef Machines also manufactures special purpose machinery in-house to cater to the labels and packaging industries according to an individual customer’s specifications. While the company has already sold one 600mm two-station label die-cutting machine to FSM Label in Mumbai, it is in the process of completing another fully automatic I V Fluid Filling machine that will be capable of filling 1,200 pouches in an hour.

This will be the company’s first export order and will be shipped to Nigeria before the end of the current financial year.

Morsef Machines also designs and supplies special tools such as a cold foiling unit, sheet cutting tools, print cylinders, anvil roll, special hole punching  tools, etc. ‘We have installed cold foiling units on various machines  such as Orthotec and Gallus,’ confirmed Ahmed.

Growing at a rate of 50 percent, the company is aiming to sell two to three Chinese offset and five to six flexo machines in India each year. It is also looking at agreeing partnerships with tool manufacturers and flexographic machinery manufacturers in Europe and the US, while continuing to manufacture customized equipment in-house for its clients.
