Polish converter installs country’s first Bobst M5X UV LED press

The partnership with Bobst, which began with the acquisition of the first 6-color machine about 10 years ago, followed by the installation of a second 8-color and third 10-color presses, has worked to both parties’ complete satisfaction.’

Wolak continued: ‘Furthermore, Bobst offers the Revo 7-color extended color gamut and digital flexo process, which we are considering to equip the M5X with in the near future. It also gives us confidence that we can rely on the support of Revo academy in Florence, alongside a local service that has been good throughout the past years.’

The M5X will handle a full range of substrates from unsupported film to self-adhesive stock, through to paper, laminate tubes, alufoil and light cardboard. This is very important for Tom Druk whose production serves a great variety of market segments including cosmetics, food, beverages, pharma, automotive, electronics, with a variety of label types and shapes including decorative and security labels, foil labels, bottle wrappers and multi-layer coupons.

The 10-color M5X, incorporating Bobst’s latest Digital Flexo 3.0 automation package, was demonstrated on the Bobst stand at Labelexpo Europe 2017.
