Esko has sold its Esko Quartz flexographic platemaking ecosystem to Veepee Graphic Solutions at Loupe India 2026. Jai Chandra Peethambaram, managing director and CEO of Veepee Graphic Solutions, unveiled the machine, which also made its India debut, along with Nalini Jaichandra, the company's director.
The Esko Quartz Ecosystem combines CDI Quartz imaging, optimized Quartz screening, and XPS Crystal UV LED exposure to deliver gravure-like print quality.
The technology uses Quartz optical imaging at 4,000 ppi, together with 2,000 lpi (lines per inch) Q-Cells that the company said enhance ink transfer and help produce smoother solids, cleaner highlights, deeper shadows and a greater tonal range. The company said this allows flexographic print reproduction with gravure-like quality, while the integrated workflow simplifies the platemaking process.
Veepee Graphic Solutions is a long-time customer of Esko, having already an extensive fleet of Esko CDI imagers — including models like the CDI 4260 and CDI Crystal 5080 — alongside Esko XPS Crystal LED UV exposure units.
