CDA develops solution for labeling tubes in batch production

The CDA Company has developed a semi-automatic system that makes it easy to put labels on tubes of glue, sealant, or other thick substances, such as those sold in DIY stores or used in industry or the building trade.

The company said in a statement: ‘Up to now, there were two solutions: the first one is manual placing, which is ten times slower. The second one is silk screen printing, which is much less flexible and above all involves management of larger, costlier stocks. The labeling solution opens up much wider personalization possibilities for dedicated batches. It provides working speeds of 500 to 800 tubes per hour.’

The Ninette Tube uses the following operating principle: the tube is placed manually on a cylindrical rod, and then the Ninette Tube places the label. It can be used for wraparound labels or to place small labels. The machine can be adapted to deal with various tube diameters. The maximum standard roll width is 190 mm, but this can be increased as required. Ninette Tube is based on simple technical principles, ensuring good levels of functionality and user comfort. The Ninette Tube provides numerous placing options, such as easy adjustment of the label height on the tube, and a locating cell to place small labels or bar code labels. All these operations can be carried out on a tube that has already been silk screen printed, to personalize dedicated batches.

Thanks to its small size and light weight (35 kg), the Ninette Tube is highly mobile. It is easily moved around from one workshop to another.
