Mactac launches Puretac CL216

Mactac introduced an advanced adhesive technology at Labelexpo Americas 2012. Mactac Puretac CL216 is claimed to be ‘the only optically clear adhesive specifically designed to go on and stay on packaging and labeling applications of health, beauty, food, beverage and household cleaner products’.

According to the company, Puretac CL216 exhibits superior clarity, high tack and peel, a quick, strong bond and excellent adhesion to low-energy surfaces. The adhesive is suitable for application to high-density polyethylene (HDPE) surfaces, such as juice and water bottles, oil bottles, detergent and other household cleaner product containers.

‘The market demanded an ultra-clear, high-tack permanent adhesive for a variety of substrates and facestocks,’ said Kim Hensley, product manager, Mactac Roll Label. ‘Designed for film labeling applications where exceptional clarity and excellent tack are required, Mactac Puretac CL216 is the ultimate adhesive.
