El Jefe Energy wins INX can design contest

Sinister Razz energy drink takes the seventh annual Colored by INX competition.

El Jefe Energy's Sinister Razz design has won the seventh annual Colored by INX Can Design Contest, securing the highest combined score from judges and public voting conducted across INX's social media channels.

The design was submitted by manufacturing partner Can-One US, which produces more than two billion aluminum beverage cans annually from its facility in Nashua, New Hampshire. The contest received nearly twice as many entries as in previous years, according to INX marketing and promotions manager Jeanie Morris.

The winning can uses five colors from the INX Color Catalog and features strong iconography, roses, contrast and a central figure intended to convey confidence and a premium aesthetic.

'El Jefe Energy - Sinister Razz was created to feel more like art than traditional beverage packaging,' said Nick Hanna, head of creative and branding at Can-One US. 'Our goal was to break away from cookie-cutter designs and create something striking, intentional and beautiful. Every detail was meant to make the can feel premium, emotional and instantly recognizable.'

'It is a captivating design that draws you in and holds your attention,' added Morris. 'The bold contrast in color and the distinctive character give it a strong sense of confidence and personality.'

Winners will receive an engraved trophy and be recognized in a future issue of Color Perfection Magazine. The 2027 contest will open in January.
