Label Industry China Awards 2025 winners unveiled at Labelexpo Asia 2025
The accolades recognize outstanding achievements across the categories of Innovation, Sustainability, Converter of the Year, Media Impact of the Year and Achievement.
Labels & Labeling has revealed the winners of the Label Industry China Awards 2025. More than 300 label and package printing industry peers gathered at the awards ceremony to recognize the best in the industry. The ceremony formed an important part of Labelexpo Asia 2025’s official series of events, held on the second day of the exhibition.
Organized by the influential industry publication, the accolades recognize outstanding achievements across five categories: Achievement Award, Innovation Award, Converter of the Year, Sustainability Award, and Media Impact Award of the Year.
The Innovation Award aims to recognize companies that have successfully achieved innovative breakthroughs in product development or production, either as suppliers or converters. The winners include Cymmetrik Group for its EcoStrip Water-Activated Peelable Coating, Avery Dennison for rCrush Barley FSC Label Stock, and Hybrid Software Helix for SmartDFE software components.
The Converter of the Year Award recognizes benchmark enterprises in the printing industry which have outstanding strengths in innovation-driven development, sustainable work practices and staff development. Six outstanding converters have won this award: Jiangtian, BSN Group, Sunway, Wellking, Sunway, A.P. Label and Maxim Group.
The Media Impact Award of the Year award recognizes enterprises or individuals who have extensive reach and industry influence on new media platforms such as Wechat VChannel, Tik Tok, and Kuaishou. The winners include CPP114 Printing & Packaging Network, Guan Guoping of Packaging Zone, Xiaohumei, Yumaxian and Jiangsu Kaitun.
Cymmetrik Jiangsu and Weigang claimed the Sustainability Award. This award recognizes a specific sustainable product or process developed by a supplier, converter company, or end-user in the label industry, with a focus on innovative initiatives to reduce environmental impact and enhance resource utilization and efficiency.
The Achievement Award was awarded to Li Dagang. The Achievement Award recognizes an individual who has made a key contribution to the promotion and growth of the label industry in the China market and has been a high-profile industry influencer and motivator.
The China Awards judging panel commented, ‘Mr Li is a worthy winner of the China Achievement Award. This recognizes his 32 years unique contribution through Avery Dennison and CCL Industries Greater China.’
Commenting on the results, the jury chairman Andy Thomas-Emans, strategic director of the Informa Markets labels and packaging group, said: ‘The overall standard of this year’s Label Industry China Awards is impressive. We have seen industry-leading innovation, a real commitment to the development of sustainable technology, and world-class label converting companies, all making it a very difficult decision for the judging panel. The scoring for the shortlisted enterprises was indeed very close, and each final decision embodies the professional judgement of our highly experienced jury team.’

Sponsoring the awards were some of the industry’s leading companies with Hanlabel sponsoring the Innovation Award; Avery Dennison (China) sponsoring the Sustainability Award; Caisheng and Hongsheng jointly sponsor the Converter of the Year Award; and Labels & Labeling supported both the Achievement Award and the Media Impact Award of the Year. HP China and Reborn sponsored the lucky gifts of the ceremony.
Judging was conducted by a prestigious panel of industry leaders and experts, with Andy Thomas-Emans, strategic director of the labels and packaging group at Informa Markets as chairman. Other jury members included Xu Wencai, chairman of the Packaging Printing and Label Committee of the China Packaging Federation (CPF) ; Yin Jinhua, industry expert; Wang Yang, managing editor of CI Flexo Tech; Emily Xiao, technology manager of Packaging Material & Compliance at the Beiersdorf Innovation Center Shanghai; Rocky Sun, Senior R&D engineer at Guangzhou Liby Enterprise Group; Jacky Yang, R&D technical director of Neal Research Center Materials Group, APACAvery Dennison; Wang Benhong, chief engineer of Cymmetrik (Chengwei); and Yolanda Wang, head of content-China at Labels & Labeling. Special jury members for the Converter of the Year were Apple Su, vice-general manager of Shanghai YinsSo Cultural Media, and Tu Shengwen, general manager of Redon Media.
Labelexpo Asia 2025 continues to welcome industry professionals, with the award ceremony gathering over 300 peers to witness the annual industry awards ceremony.
