Edale introduces new naming conventions for product portfolio
As a Canon company, Edale aligns label and carton platforms with a unified approach.

Flexographic printing and converting specialist Edale has announced new naming conventions for products within its label and carton portfolio, aligning its offering more closely with Canon's product range.
The move represents the first step in the broader refresh of the company's product portfolio. New naming conventions will cover both Edale's label and carton platforms, now known as Edale LabelLine and Edale CartonLine. Each machine within these platforms will be further categorized to help customers identify the right capability level for their application.
The portfolio simplification helps customers clearly identify the press capabilities best suited to their production needs. It also reflects Edale's evolution with Canon and supports a more unified, customer-focused go-to-market approach across international regions.
'This is an important milestone for Edale, as we build on the strength and scale of our relationship with Canon,' noted Lachlan Buirds, managing director at Edale. 'It's more than a name change, it's about bringing greater clarity, confidence and cohesion to how we present our technology globally.'
He added that the company's engineering pedigree, automation expertise and commitment to helping customers grow remain constant. 'Whether you need a robust, everyday performer or a high-specification press to deliver premium packaging at speed, the newly named range gives you a clear path forward.’
All machines continue to feature Edale's signature engineering quality and intelligent automation features, including AiiR registration technology and high-definition print modules.
Edale will reveal more details about its product portfolio refresh in the coming weeks and months, including at Labelexpo Europe 2025. The company will exhibit alongside Canon Europe, featuring an Edale CartonLine machine at the stand.
