Indian printer opts for GM DC330MINIflex dual varnish

Kerala-based, Xpress Labels has installed DC330MINIflex dual varnish label finisher as an all-in-one finishing system for their HP Indigo. The final decision about investment in GM finisher and signing the contract took place during Labelexpo 2019 in Brussels.

Renil Thomas, managing director of Xpress Labels said: ‘Brands in FMCGs, consumer market, pharmaceutical, healthcare and textile industries are trying hard to create or maintain a unique identity. We see labels playing a large role when it comes to branding and packaged products. The main reason for entering the labels business and not carton or flexible packaging is the ease of managing the operation.’

The installed configuration of DC330MINIflex provides two UV flexo varnish stations with spot varnish, cold foil, semi-rotary die-cutting, back score, slitting and semi-automatic turret rewinder.

The DC330MINIflex installation was implemented in cooperation with GM distributor in India – Printronics, managed by Selvaraj Venkatesh.
