Special Screen installs Grafotronic DCL2

Special Screen, located close to Lecco, Italy, is a rapidly growing manufacturer of labels aggressively investing in new equipment each year. Its production is focused on food, beverage, wine, spirits, and the personal care sectors. 

‘We decided to choose Grafotronic mainly because we were looking for a very flexible and versatile machine, and DCL2 perfectly fits our needs. We also trusted in Grafotronic's online service capabilities with local sales and service support it has in our area,’ said Antonio Locatelli, CEO of Special Screen.

The machine is equipped with a full rotary module for blank labels, semi-turret rewinder and with the first semi-rotary die-cutting module with a top speed of 110m/min.

‘Our new machine is multi-functional: we can perform digital finishing at very high speed with an excellent register precision and we can also run high-speed blank labels when needed,’ added Carlo Locatelli, then next generation of the company.

Regardless of its compact dimensions, this modular machine is a milestone for the new company Grafotronic Italia.

‘I am very proud of having our first 110m/min semi-rotary die-cutting module in Italy. The solution we have installed in Special Screen is a unique concept: converting in full rotary and finishing in semi-rotary, both with top-class performance. In other words, two machines in one,’ concluded Gabriele Gerbella, sales manager of Grafotronic in Italy.
