Rotocontrol has launched RSC 2.0, the next-generation inspection slitter rewinder with higher operating speeds and larger roll handling capacity

The new RSC 2.0 features include transport speeds up to 550m/min (1800 ft/min) and unwind diameter support up to 102cm (40in). The machine is also equipped with an intuitive touch screen panel with 2,000 job memory, vertical or horizontal inspection configurations, automatic tension control and S-drive servo operation.

The new machine includes vertical vacuum splice table, allowing for simple web splices and eliminating the need for web clamping with the waste rewind ergonomically positioned under the table. A horizontal option is also available. The tension is maintained during high speed stops through the automated web tension management system.

‘As our flagship Rotocontrol inspection slitter rewinder, the RSC-series has always been focused on high-quality components and operational efficiency,’ commented Marco Aengenvoort, managing director at Rotocontrol. ‘With the next-generation RSC 2.0, all the essential features for inspection and slitting of various types of labels are made possible.’

The new RSC 2.0 has been engineered and will be manufactured in Wisconsin, US. EMT/Rotocontrol will be providing direct technical support and remote service.
