Following severe economic conditions, 2010 was a solid business year for most and there is increasing optimism about the economy in 2011. Following a successful Labelexpo Americas, the global label industry appears to have spent these straightened times wisely, honing R&D efforts, improving manufacturing processes and developing closer partnerships with customers and suppliers to improve areas such as supply chain and inventory management. Adoption of digital printing is clearly growing, while sustainability is of increasing importance.
