Societé Tilwel boosted by Bobst press
French converter Societé Tilwel’s has reported positive performance and multiple corporate benefits since installing and commissioning a 1,100mm-wide, 8-color Bobst F&K 20SIX.

Societé Tilwel is part of the family-owned Brodard Packaging group, which operates five production sites with 210 employees in total and group turnover of 45 million EUR (61.2 million USD). The group serves both the food and non-food industry, including dairy, convenience food, coffee, personal care and cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.
It is more than a year since Societé Tilwel installed and commissioned the F&K 20SIX, with the company ‘impressed by the versatility’.
Laurent Parolari, production manager at Societé Tilwel, said: ‘We print on all types of substrates, from 330gsm cartonboard to thin OPP film. We print on 20 microns, and we have even printed on 12 micron PET.’
The press can also print using water-based inks, water-based flexo a longstanding tradition in the family-owned Brodard Packaging group, reflects the group’s concern for the environment.
Arnaud Barbedet, Societé Tilwel site director, added that the F&K 20SIX does not only allow Societé Tilwel to target new markets, but thanks to its performance and capacities also serves well a back-up for the other companies of the group.
